Portraits of Protesters from Kiev Uprising

Today we would like to present you a Turkey-based photographer Barbaros Kayna and his touching portraits of protesters captured in Kiev uprisings (Euromaidan) during the last few months. Kiev revolution or Euromaidan is a wave of ongoing demonstrations, civil unrest and revolution in Ukraine, which began on the night of 21 November 2013 with public protests demanding closer European integration and gathered more than 200,000 protesters to the streets of Kiev.

Barbados Kayna is a photojournalist from Turkey mostly photographing in various hot spots around the world and Euromaidan wasn’t an exception. The main object in Kayna’s photographs from Kiev isn’t a violence or frightful events. Instead of, Turkey-based photographer gathered a whole collection of thought-provoking portraits of protesters. Although all of them are very different however they are united by one goal – independence.
