Creative Key Holder Inspired by Iconic Phrase “Honey, I’m Home!”
This minimalist key holder reminding a beehive with matching keychains was designed by the collaboration of Luz Cabrera and Malorie Pangilinan, the industrial design students from New Jersey, for “First Things First”, a competition/showcase for NYCxDesign 2014.
As it is said in the description of his project, the concept behind the project comes from the iconic 1950’s phrase, “Honey, I’m Home”. “Home is the place you return to, and that home becomes yours when you receive that shiny new set of keys. But even keys need a place to return to. The bees will come buzzing home to this retro chic key holder that also doubles as an elegant wall piece.”, says Luz Cabrera.
It isn’t only a practical thing, but a great interior detail with a beautiful meaning reminding it’s owners the values of family and home every time they are away from them.
