In her series of painted objects titled “It’s not What it Seems”, Hikaru Cho uses her deft skill with a paintbrush and acrylic paints to paint everyday foods and make them look like totally different food products. The most starling aspect of this series is that misleadingly painted foods are so realistic that without touching them it’s almost impossible to determine whether they are real or not.
