Aerial Photos of World’s Largest Greenhouse Farm by Bernhard Lang

I’m a big fan of aerial photography. I just love to see how everything looks from a bigger perspective. After all, isn’t it awesome to see how various big buildings and endless terrains turn into a detailed pattern?

This is the fourth time I’m writing about Bernhard Lang and his outstanding aerial photographs. For those who don’t read CAT IN WATER constantly, Bernhard Lang is a Germany-based photographer best known for his groundbreaking series of aerial photos.

According to Bernhard, in his latest series he captures Mar del plástico, a greenhouse farm at the region of Almeria (Andalusia, Southern Spain). The patterns in the landscape are thousands of greenhouses and plastic foils used for cultivation of fruits and vegetables.

“It’s the biggest zone worldwide for cultivation underneath plastic foils (about 350 km²). Each year millions of tons of fruits and vegetables are exported. More than the half of the harvest goes to Germany and other western european countries. Photographed in November 2014.”, explains Bernhard Land.
